Recess Hole Opening (Length, Width, and Depth Required for Installation)

For proper installation of the Model R power track, please follow the guidelines below:

Length and Width Requirements

The internal width of the track is fixed at 68mm, and the length is based on your customised order (e.g. 600mm). Each track includes a 5mm lip around all sides to rest securely on the surface and prevent it from falling through the recess.

To ensure a proper fit, the recommended recess hole opening should include a 2mm allowance beyond the internal track length for easier installation:

• Length: Customised order length + 2mm

• Width: 70mm

✅ Example: For a 600mm track, the recommended opening size is 602mm (L) × 70mm (W).

Depth Requirement

A minimum recess depth of 30mm is required. This allows for adequate cable management, accommodating:

• Two sets of electrical cables, and

• Up to four Cat6 data cables

If the recess is deeper than 30mm, that’s perfectly acceptable—the aluminium winged flanges of the track will still provide stable and secure support.
